So is it okay to call what other people are dealing with "crap"?

Michelle (totally bewildered)

Thank you for your comments to the members. As a fairly new member and mother dealing with my sons diagnosis all the crap on the site was very discouraging. Again, thank you for taking control.

So we are not "for" censorship here, we will just banish certains kinds of information and people?

Michelle (even more bewildered)

Thanks

Again, I will state that contrary to what is being said, I am not for censorship (nor is that what the Society stands for), hiding behind issues or trying to be politically correct.

"Look for what is right with the world!"

Mostly what is being done in this case is a bunch of people who are or aren't autistic or AS are saying good, strong, positive things about autistic/AS people. This is through the efforts of some autistics who decided that these positive views should also be represented. I'm very glad this was done. The best way to deal with false and negative information which could cause people to fear or reject people with differences is to counter that with positive, accurate views showing the humanity and value of these people, who are different. I do not think this is negative or frivolous. It is an act of courage, hope, responsibility, and strength.
